This page was created after a year of activities, meetings, and projects funded by the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation in 2023. It includes important resources about epilepsy, developed with the help of EEA youth members who contributed in their own ways. We hope this resource page helps people understand life with epilepsy better. Below, you’ll find videos and interactive activities that explore epilepsy, the brain, and what living with seizures is like from the kids’ perspectives. The links will also give you more information about the project’s plans.
OWEN SHARES WHAT HE KNOWS ABOUT HIS EPILEPSY
In this video, our young friend Owen shares a few facts about his life with seizures. He talks about what he does each day, to manage the seizures, and how they still impact his school life. He also invites viewers to donate to the Edmonton Epilepsy Association, EEA, as they can help other kids like him live better lives with epilepsy. Young voices are important, so we made sure their words and actions were clear: people with epilepsy can achieve their goals and be anything they want.
